Brookdale’s Bella Tomassini Sweeps Top Honors, Named GSAC and Region 19 Player of the Year, MVP, and All-Region First Team
Brookdale Community College freshman midfielder/forward Bella Tomassini has delivered one of the most dominant rookie seasons in Jersey Blues history, earning a sweep of major postseason honors. Tomassini was named Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Division III Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, Region 19 Division III Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, Most Valuable Player (MVP), and secured a spot on the All-Region First Team.
Tomassini emerged as a powerhouse from the first game of the season. Appearing in 12 contests, she led Brookdale in virtually every offensive category, finishing the year with 20 goals and eight assists. Her remarkable performance placed her at the top of both the GSAC and Region 19 leaderboards in total points (48) and goals (20), while ranking second in shots (55).
Her knack for scoring in crucial moments, and her ability to generate constant offensive pressure—made her one of the most feared attackers in the region.
Tomassini’s sweep of top awards marks an extraordinary debut and sets a high bar for the rest of her collegiate career with the Jersey Blues. With such a historic freshman season behind her, she has firmly established herself as one of the premier players in Division III women’s soccer.
