Brookdale Students Earn Elaine Baran Scholarships For Study Abroad Programs

Brookdale has awarded three students funding to participate in study abroad programs in summer 2026. The Elaine Baran Scholarship was established to honor the life and achievements of Elaine Baran, a former faculty member of languages, who was dedicated to Brookdale and the global community alike. Her passion and motivation for promoting cross-cultural and global experiences were instrumental in the development of Brookdale’s international programs. Summer 2026 recipients of Brookdale’s Elaine Baran Scholarship are:

Hannah Post (Brick, NJ) is majoring in Fashion Design and Merchandizing. She will be participating in our faculty-led program to Milan and Florence, Italy.

Zachary BergerZachary Berger (Manalapan, NJ) is majoring in Hospitality Management. He will be participating in our faculty-led program to Rome, Naples, & Sorrento, Italy.

Keith WestpyKeith Westpy (Hazlet, NJ) is majoring in Fashion Design and Merchandizing. He will be participating in our faculty-led program to Milan and Florence, Italy.
