Bergen Chooses Civitas to Help Analyze Solutions

PARAMUS, N.J. – Representatives from new student affairs solutions partner Civitas visited last month and took part in a signing ceremony to officially kick-off Bergen’s collaborative efforts with the firm. Civitas will help Bergen leverage institutional data to enhance advising and decision-making through predictive analytics, customized dashboards and institutional modeling. The resulting information will assist advisers, counselors and student affairs staff in supporting students through specialized interventions that lead to better outcomes and student goal achievement. The Civitas partnership helps the College tackle goals such as identifying struggling students earlier, focusing outreach on the students that require it the most and reducing administrative tasks that take time away from students.

“Every student affairs solutions partner can produce a prediction score,” Bergen Vice President of Student Affairs A.J. Trump, Ed.D., said. “What stood out was how Civitas Learning uses AI to create efficiency so our advisors and counselors can spend their time on conversations with students, not administrative work.”

With the Civitas Learning Student Impact Platform, Bergen will bring retention insights, data infrastructure, course-level analytics and initiative analysis into a platform built around the College’s unique student data. The partnership also connects Bergen to a community of institutions sharing how they use data, technology and new approaches to improve retention and student success.
