Brookdale Community Gains Exclusive Tuition Benefits Through Jefferson Alliance
At the February 25, 2026, Board of Trustees meeting, Brookdale Community College will formalize a new Tuition Reduction Agreement with Thomas Jefferson University (TJU), expanding opportunities for academic advancement and lifelong learning across the Brookdale community.
Through TJU’s Community College Educational Alliance Program, eligible Brookdale employees, faculty, Board of Trustees members, alumni, and certain immediate family members will have access to significant tuition discounts across a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and certificate programs, offered both on campus and online.
The partnership is designed to empower professional growth, increase access to advanced credentials, and support families seeking affordable pathways to continued education in today’s competitive job market.
“At Jefferson, we understand the profound impact that collaboration has in shaping a dynamic educational environment,” said Dr. Susan Aldridge, President of Thomas Jefferson University. “Collectively, through this program, we are cultivating the growth of a robust and resilient ecosystem to enhance the lives of its members within the community.”
Brookdale leadership emphasized that the agreement reflects the College’s continued commitment to expanding opportunity beyond the associate degree.
“This partnership creates meaningful pathways for our faculty, staff, trustees, alumni, and their families to continue their academic journeys,” said Brookdale President Dr. David M. Stout. “By reducing financial barriers, we are strengthening our shared mission of workforce development, lifelong learning, and community impact.”
Jefferson offers more than 200 degree and certificate programs across ten Areas of Interest, including:

- Engineering
- Fashion & Textiles
- Health

- Social Science
These programs are designed to prepare students for leadership roles across industries while encouraging innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world impact.
Under the agreement, TJU will provide:
- Up to 50% tuition reduction on selected undergraduate programs
- 10% tuition reduction on selected graduate degrees, certificates, and doctoral programs
Tuition and fee rates are subject to change annually by TJU’s Board of Trustees. While students who elect the 50% undergraduate tuition reduction will not be eligible for additional institutional aid, they may still apply for federal and state financial aid. Certain graduate programs may offer institutional support exceeding the 10% discount.
Eligible participants through Brookdale include:
- Current employees and faculty (including part-time)
- Active members of the Board of Trustees
- Immediate family members of employees, faculty, and trustees
- Brookdale alumni (excluding immediate family members of alumni)
Graduating Brookdale students and alumni who have graduated within the past two years may qualify for TJU’s standard scholarship and aid programs.
Prospective students must meet all Thomas Jefferson University admissions requirements, deadlines, and program prerequisites. Brookdale will provide employment verification upon request but will not assume financial responsibility for tuition or fees.
This new agreement represents another step forward in Brookdale’s ongoing efforts to build strong institutional partnerships that expand access, promote workforce advancement, and support lifelong learning across the region.
