Bergen Investigates “Murder on the Nile”

PARAMUS, N.J. – A production of Agatha Christie’s classic murder-mystery, “Murder on the Nile,” will take place in December as part of the Bergen Community College Bergen Institute for the Creative Arts and Bergenstages theatrical performance season. The show will premiere on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre at Bergen’s main campus in Paramus (400 Paramus Road).

Directed by Bergen professor Jim Bumgardner, the play follows Kay Ridgeway, a woman blessed with beauty, wealth and a new husband with whom she honeymoons along the Nile River. Her world is turned upside down when a brutal murder shatters the idyllic setting. With a wide cast of suspects, each with their own sinister motive, this story is rife with tension and nail-biting twists.

Performances will take place on Friday, December 5; Saturday, December 6; Thursday, December 11; Friday, December 12; and Saturday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will take place on Saturday, December 6 and Saturday, December 13 at 2 p.m. Audiences are invited to attend a special post-show audience talk-back immediately following the December 11 performance.
